Kodimaram
- Spiritual Anatomy: The pillar represents the human spine (jeevadhara). It is often divided into three parts representing the Trimurthi: Brahma (base), Vishnu (middle), and Shiva (top).
- Dwajarohanam: It acts as the flagpost for hoisting the temple flag, signifying the official start of major festivals.
- Devotional Practice: Devotees often prostrate (namaskaram) before the Kodimaram to symbolise surrendering their ego before entering the main shrine.
